Stillen Race Pipes - General Question

Hi all,

I'm not here to debate the legalities of removing the Catalytic Converters... that's not the purpose of this thread.

Still makes some Race Pipes that basically take the place of the cats to open the flow of the exhaust...

I was going to make a similar mod on my C5 Corvette, but taking off the cats on a new model Corvette also necessitates adding modified O2 sensors for the carburator... With out these sensors, the appropriate fuel injection mix would be f'd up.

SO, if one were to unbolt their cats and replace them with these "Race Pipes", are any other engine mods required?

Thanks,
Mark

Sorry to waste bandwidth guys... I just got off the phone with Justin from everythingg35.com, he told me that yes, just like the Corvette there are pre-cat O2 sensors and post-cat O2 sensors...

He said however, that replacing the cats with the race pipes will only get you 5-6 HP more... but he said it will not screw up the post cat O2 sensors and not to worry about it...

Simple bolt on pipe to replace the cats...

So, pipes are an easy mod, so is the plenum spacer... now cold air...

Any recommendations for Cold Air?

Whats the diff between a cold air source like Stillen's or K&N and a "Pop-Charger"? They all look the same to me?
