Our engines are pretty highly strung, especially the 05's. I think it would be difficult to squeeze out much more power from an aftermarket ECU in the 05. If you get a bunch of mods, an ECU may help.

I think the ECU is only available for the '03 coupe and sedan. Besides, it's something you don't wanna do as it marries up breathing mods best. If you have an '05, then you already have the increased redline, but there is something to be gained from the tb being fully open at wot.

guys... he said his "'05 coupe 5AT"

- His redline and HP is the same as last years MT. Only the MT got reduced Tq/Increased Hp, and higher rev.

- Reflashes are not yet available for the '05 (haven't checked in a couple weeks)

- Do ALL of your other mods first, and then get a reflash dialed in to your needs if you so desire.

There is always some power to gain from proper tuning even if your car is stock. I would recommend doing all of the other mods first like Sickone mentioned, since you have to retune every time you get a new mod to get the proper performance out of it.

It doesn't matter what year 5AT he got, they are all the same power and redline.

Well, yeah the 05 is faster... now it comes with an envelope in the glovebox full of a bunch of stickers worth at least 47HP to the wheels.

Agree, but the topic is about ECUs and I don't think there's one available for any '05s yet.

All 5AT COUPES are the same on paper, but there are probably subtle ECU differences enough to warrant a separate ECU between an 03 and 04. Like stated above, do all your breathing mods first, then do the ECU.
