I've been told that I can get about $1500 off MSRP on an ordered 6MT coupe. Guess I better get that order in before the May 1st increase.

I used to think the same thing but the interest rate keeps going up. They are dealing on coupes now bigtime. The interest rate is a gamble though. Infiniti could drop their rates come end of the year like they did at the end of last year, but maybe not. It's a gamble either way I guess. And Ti still hard to come by currently. You are probably right in regards to the dollar, but IMHO Japanese metal is the best, and they might know something that could see their metal rates go up in the interim.

Why call them? I already paid the 500 deposit after being given a price. This price cant go up can it? After the deposit is paid for, they cant go up with price as I see it.

It depends, if the car you ordered has been submitted already or not. If it hasn't then they can charge you the 1.5% increase. If your order is going in next month, after May 1st, be prepared.

I dont know how these things work, but the car I wanted was on its way, supposedly, to the US. No dealer had selected it and they asked for that car to come here to Melbourne. I got a price and I paid deposit for it. I am told the car will arrive 27th of May. I would really be pieced if they come out to tell me that I have to pay more.

If it's on the boat, then you are good. Just call your dealer to discuss this and they should be able to sort you out.

Im affraid that if I tell them "I know there is a 1.5% increase" they will say OH YES! Ill just wait and see what they say... Maybe if they tell me of the increase and I say "We already agreed on the prize, I dont want it anymore" they might let me not pay for it.

Damn...I ordered my car about a month ago and its coming in july. Talked to the sales rep yesterday and he said he didn't hear anything about a price increase so he is unsure about the situation. He said that he'll let me know tomorrow but I think he is BSing with me and is just thinking of going with the increase when my car comes in. I dunno wat to do...I don't wanna let the G go for 200 dollars but I don't wanna pay 200 extra for something that just wanna put in their pockets...

I know how you feel, fortunatelly, my dealership seems to not get well informed. I mean, all the time I go there, I get the impresion of knowing more than them reassured.

When I asked my dealer wether the car was on the boat or still on Japan, he said he did not know. They found a car that was almost 100% what I wanted (it was lacking the splash guards) so he said that he would give an order for them to put them on in Japan if the car hasnt shipped yet.
