i went to the NYC car show and met one of rep for a car cleaning solution and he recomended sumthing for spider web scratches on the G35. he also said that he sponsors the G Squad so if any1 else know what im talkin bout, please help....
or if any1 know what i can do about them, that would be helpful too

someone please help out... i am having the same problem... its not swirls... its those damn pesky spiders... unfortunately i have to park under a tree... and i have spider webs all over the car...

if there anything out there that can rid me of these so called spider web scrathes.

 

Don't you just hate that....Those bug me when i get up really close!....A colleague of mine who used to be in amateur racecar driver with the SCCA told me that I should use a good caranuba wax/polish and it will take those away....i haven't yet tried it but if anyone has def. please leave your input!

You really need a good ramdom orbit polisher to really get them out.

After they are as good as they are going to get, Zaino Z5 helps to hide them really well.

But really....unless your car is a "Garage Queen"....it is almost inevitable on a black, clear coated car.

 

Isnt "spider web scratches" just a term for the type of scratches on your car not that they actually are caused by spider webs.........

I used to use Zymol Carbon, but now I use Pinnacle, and I still get those marks ! Bottom line, unless it is in a garage, black is the worst car to keep clean, but looks the best when it is!!! I will always take the trade off.

 

Correct you are, says it on Both Zymol and Pinnacle instuctions!!!!

 

I keep my G in the garage and it still has swirl marks. Good thing Z-5 hides them really well... you can't tell they are there 95% of the time.

 

I believe as Vinny mentioned that was Matt from Detailing Dynamics. Unfortunately with black and dark colors, spider web scratches are ineveitable. There are precautions that you can take that prolongs the time it takes for them to return. Go to www.detailingdynamics.com and look through the detailing tips!! VERY INFORMATIVE!!
NOW TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION!!! - Like many here mentioned, a good random orbital polisher will help out greatly, but you should also be able to remove by hand (it will just take more time). I purchased the cyclo polisher from them and it works great as do their products! Here are some before and afters. Keep in mind that the afters were taken after only 2 steps, and the full 3!

 

And some after shots! Also, is most pics you can see the dust which was reoved after with the Detailing Dynamics spray detailer. I was just trying to get the photos in while I still had daylight

 

I own 2 all black vehicles & they shine like glass. I would you a orbital polisher with a foam pad. I use P&S Clear coat polish followed by Meguiars NXT Tech Wax. This stuff works super on Black or any paint for that matter. I'm always getting complaments on how clean my cars are! Try it! It works! And if your going to leave it outside, by all means get a car cover for it!
