REV Light Question/New Owner

My REV light comes on at 1400 RPM. Seems very low compared to others who have posted on this topic. Is this normal? Any advice? THANKS!

You can set it for where you want. Set it at 4000 rpm for break-in period if you want. You do it with the little stalk for the trip meter.

My new '05 G35 Coupe has "REV" lit in yellow all the time... can you give more info on how to adjust this thing? I'd like to set it at redline...

Yeah its new, and I dont believe in break in period for a leased vehicle... I drive 'em like I stole 'em!

The letters saying "REV" are supposed to stay on all of the time. There's a red light that illuminates under it when you actually get to your upshift limit. I made the same mistake.

To change it, I believe you push the trip odometer button over and over until it shows a number for the rev RPM limit, then hold it down to change the RPMs.

Or something like that.

Yes - but don't feel bad. We don't get litte lights on the dash that tell us what gear we are in.

Yeah but you get a HAND break and not a FOOT break

Thanks for the replys. My car was delivered without an owners manual. So, while I am waiting for it to be sent to me, I thought I would ask those who know. Thanks Again ......

I posted the same question earlier this month, but some 2005 owners manuals are old ones without any mention of this REV light function.

Thanks Giddyup69, these are the pages I never got on my 2005 owners manual!
