In my opinion, it makes the G look somewhat cheap.

It's not that it looks really that awful, but however i do think its my least favorite color for the G35 by far.

But to each their own (obviously)...we have haters of DG on here cause its "too popular" and haters of IP cause its "too feminine" lol.

 

You guys sure whether you're talking about the Athens Blue or the Caribbean Blue?

I gotta say CB takes the cake for the most misspelled color

 

i like blue, but hated CB the first time i saw it. probably i'm biased because i had the gorgeous electron blue pearl Si before which was way better imo. had a friend who bought a CB coupe and who i see almost every week, and thought probably the color will grow on me too but no, i still hate looking at it even after a year.

 

i used to hate it too, but know i like it. also, cb looks 100x better in person then in pics.

 

It grew on me too, but I still believe it's a "youngin's color". Does anyone know if CB game with a graphite interior option?

 

It sure did, prior to '05 you could get any color exterior with any color interior.

 

I like blue but the 03/04 Carribean Blue is too bling for me. Now the 05 Athens Blue (no more CB) I like - so I bought it. Pickiing it up tomorrow (long 3 month wait).

 

I just realized that in the 2 pics I posted both colors look the same

 

CB was only offered 03/04 then discontinued. When that color was released i knew it was what i needed. I haven't bought the car yet, but i will search around till i find that oclor with the options i want. I will not settle for any of the other basic colors just to have the g35.....

 

I love my CB... at first, I didn't like the color so much, but when I saw it for second time, I just fell in love... I wouldn't trade for any other color now

I bought my car used and didnt have a choice on the color and it turned out to be the cb. I hated it so much at first i was considering painting it, but now to me its my favorite color on a coupe i get people everyday asking me if the pain is custom.

 

When I was getting ready to purchase my coupe. I looked at all the colors, and dealerships were calling offering BS or DG but I had seen so many already. And this was in January of '03. I saw pics of the CB and knew that the color just jumped out at you. I orderd the CB, and a week before I received the car I saw a Laser Red that was just incredible. I almost changed my order and bought that one, then came to my senses. I like all the colors that come on the cars, and funny that originally I had hoped for a darker blue (TB). But I am totally satisfied with the color I chose. I like the others, I still get asked if it is a custom color.

I don't mean to offend anyone here, but CB only looks good at night. During the day it looks too much like a pansy color. It's not a timeless color like my classy DG. I could see you guys getting bored of it after a while, which is why you need to make threads like these to convince yourself you made the right choice. If it helps you sleep at night, more power to you. A G is still a G in my book.

 

I really do not know what to think about it now. Which makes me think it might be growing on me. When I first saw one I literally wanted to vomit. I think for some reason the blue to me kind of cheapened the car. Maybe I'm old school in thinking that more natural,richer, earth tones belong on luxury models. I doubt I'd have a problem with it on something sportier like the z. To me it's like adding yellow to the line up. Just a little out of place.
