Flaws on my car...

I've had my car for about two weeks now and have come up with some flaws. It's a $40k car and there is no rear window wiper, what the hell is that. One more thing, everytime it rains, and I get in my garage and open the door, a river of water falls onto my seat. Why does that keep happening?

Personally I think a rear wiper would look kinda off unless it was hiden under the trunk somehow. as for the rain commin in I'd say it's because of the smooth lines of the coupe. She probably wouldn't look too good with gutters on her. All little things I plan on putting some rainX on the back hopefully that will help.

Re: Flaws on my car...

Just use Rain X.

Most coupes do not have rear wipers
I am not a fan of rear wipers, they are really useless in all car applications.

I do not know if I have ever seen rear wipers on a coupe. Hatchbacks yes.

Rain X is sort of like wax for your windows. It's this crap you put on your windows and it prevents water from staying too long. The water beads up and then rolls off (more than it normally does). You can find it anywhere Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Pep Boys, etc.

I still don't get how you guys are getting water trapped at the top of your windows. This *never* happens to me, and it's done nothing but rain in New England every damn time I want to touch my car. Maybe you have some sort of bizarre, sticky rain in... wherever you people are. Or maybe you've still got wretched dealer-wax around the top sills. I'm at a loss. Maybe try using your keyfob to lower your windows a little before opening the door (hold down unlock)?

But, yeah, sounds like Rain X might help both your issues. I'd rip off any rear wiper and chuck it in the street if my car had one.

The Porsche 911 has the rear window wiper (it’s an option though) and somehow they look good on the 911, but on the G it just wouldn’t flow with the overall design of the car, so IMO it looks better without a rear wiper.

Re: Flaws on my car...

With the aerodynamics of the car, it seems that a rear wiper isn't needed most of the time. any moisture just blows right off. Altho in Japan, one of their models similar to ours has a wiper. Go figure. RainX the rear window too. Works great.
The river of water that falls on you when you open the door is a common thing with these cars since there's no splash rail. I for one don't like them, too fugly, so we'll just have to cope with the drips. It doesn't sound too high tech, but I keep a cloth handy for just this problem... Rest of the car is great...

Re: Flaws on my car...

I have a rear wiper on my 300ZX. At highway speeds there is enough airflow over the top of the car to keep water from landing on the rear window. I think the 350Z's have rear wipers, why they didn't put one on the G, I don't know. Better aerodynamics, maybe?

I rarely use the rear wiper, and I can't say I will miss one when my G35 coupe arrives.

Re: Flaws on my car...

Funny thing is KKH, I was just thinking that a rear window wiper is something a Breeder with no taste would put on his car.. most gay people have much better taste than their "Straight" counterparts and wouldn't be caught dead with a tacky rear window wiper... Maybe I missed something at "Gay" school!

Re: Flaws on my car...

yes ... you may have missed that at ghey school ..

the last time I looked gay poeple having better taste than straight people is more of a "phallicy" made up by gays and trannies and closets and all other oddities ....
funny enough ... taste in gender is well ... wrong ..but "we won't go their girl"

either way ... rear wipers on the Z are a mistake on such a beautiful car IMO .... on the G ...well, I would've taken it off ..

UNLESS.. tucked under a body panel or more so hidden to some degree...similar to the Porsche..

laterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ...G' heys hehehehe

I definately gonna get flamed on this .... ironically ..... ONLY by FLAMERS ...

hehehehe
moral of the post ... to each his own
