Aftermarket Navigation System
Question on aftermarket Navigation systems...
Are there any Navs on the market that I can install into the console where the factory nav would have been installed? I'm envisioning one that would slide right out and turn to the programmed position. I haven't seen any posts on this nor have I seen people with pictures that show after market Navs. Would be nice to do an easy install without the heavy modification to the dash.
So far, I'm liking the Kenwood P-NAV715, Kenwood Excelon P-NAV815, and the Alpine NAV-200.
but will they fit?

Get the Eclipse unit, it doesn't install there but looks very nice. It looks almost factory and you can still use the steering wheel controls. GRider35c has a good thread about it, as he did this conversion. Looks very nice and he says the Nav is awesome, and I believe him. If you want anything in that stock NAV location, you should pray that god of cpu does his Digital Wheelz setups for the '05. If he goes that route, it would be a tough choice between the two for me. His setup with the Xenarc screen is killer! Only reason I've been looking at the Eclipse is because the DW isn't available
