Hm.. My car ended up at $38.5k --my lease is $498 for 48 months and 10k/month. $1200 paid and I had the car out the door. My mom co-signed the lease to help me build my credit.. Btw, I'm 19 years old..So it could've been better if I had my mom take on the full lease... Not too bad I think?

My credit rating is like 780, so what's the deal? Was this just a bad deal, or is this about the range for all the options on a 48 month lease with nothing down.

Would love to hear other numbers...
When I first read that I thought that you must be talking in Canadian Dollars. I guess not

I'm sorry, but you got hosed. I'm not saying you deserve it, but you REALLY should have asked this question and researched BEFORE you went in. $53K is almost 20K over msrp. No offense, but didn't that ring any bells?

I'm having a hard time believing this. I hope you're ridiculously rich, because otherwise your money will be gone before you know it.

As for remedies, go back to another dealership and have them quote you for the same exact car, out the door. Pretend you are ready to buy, and ask them for some sort of printout. Then take it to your dealer and ask them wtf is going on. If they shrug you off, causing a scene could help.

I don't know what your legal options are, but I would look into that if your dealership does not cooperate.

Man you could have Twin turboed your car and still had money left over for some nice rims for the price you paid.

sorry about your situation, I think you can cancel the service contrac, that will save you some(50~ish/mos), if the rent charge is interest rate or money factor? why would add that to the price of car and charge you twice? maybe you can look for refinance(lease) at more ressonable rate, like around 5 (.002)

check out this link and see how much it should be.....lease payment, and residual on the G should be around 50~51 percent of MSRP for 4 yrs lease, check your paper work and see how much they put down.
