Gas Station Onlookers?

I know this is kinda a random topic for a thread, but I'm wondering if others experience what keeps happening to me. First off, I bought my G35 Coupe about two weeks ago, coming from a Lexus IS300. Ever since I've gotten it, half the times I've filled it up with gas, someone has come and asked me about the car; how much it cost, what options it has, how much power it makes, and so on. When I bought the car, one thing that made me second guess getting it was that there were so many more of them on the road than my IS300. Even with that fact, people seem to stare at it when I drive by. My parents have a RENNTech SL500 and an SL65 (I'm a college kid ), and it seems as if I get more attention in my G35 than I do when I drive either of those cars.

Does this happen to others too?

All those people harassing you because you have a nice car, shame on them ! Last time I got harassed by a guy in a Jaguar Xj he asked me many questions too and harassed me even more by showing me his thumb. Damm I hate being harassed.

I didn't buy it, it's my dad's car. He bought it about three weeks ago. I've got a few pics of it. Here's a link to all the pics, SL65.

But back on topic, so people stare at your G35 when you are at the gas station or are walking to and from your car?

No, I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just wondering why so many people are impressed by it if they are so common.

I'm a mechanical engineering major at the University of Texas-Austin.

just had that happen today went to but some $300 NIN tickets and some guy at the Gas station went nuts over my car asking me how fast I had it up to to which I replied 120 @ the track and we both smiled.

words to live by...... don't roll your windows down on the highway when you friend has $300 tickets in his lap as they will quickly be sucked out the window.

We did find them

It's because the G35 is the nicest, realisticly affordable car. People don't really care to ask question about a vehicle out of their league.

They see the Infiniti Badge and assume that it's affordable. I don't care much about M3's because I can't afford it... see what I'm saying?

Oddly enough, I even get this in my bone stock sedan.

True, I keep my car spotless, and there is so much MOTHER's on her that dust can't even settle, but it does strike me as odd.

There aren't that many Gs down here..

While I enjoy the attention my Coupe gets, I really don't like when people ask me how much I paid for it. With the communication technology we have today, you shouldn't have to ask the price for anything...especially a car.

I guess a G35 isn't **** in Miami, cause I have only been asked about my car like 3 times in the 14 months I've had it.

Same way here fellas', people damn near break their necks looking back at it as I drive by. Last night at dinner I was pulling off from my parking spot and this man out of no where pops out (I had my window down) and scared the sh** out of me saying " man thats a good looking car" and asked me what I got it for. This happens all the time especially at red lights. The girls freakin drool all over it.
MSD, your parents have style man, geeeezzzz. They must be pretty rich to be able to afford those rides. Your dad must be big pimpin in that. You will be rich one day also if they dont spend it all on rides like that. Man

I don't understand what the big secret is especailly if people can find out anyway. It's not like they asked you how much money do you have in the bank. Not flaming you....just never understood what the dig deal is about asking someone how much they paid for something..........

I get this all the time. Makes me happy. Even old people will stare at my car (esp. the nice 19''s) and smile and wave at me.
