The question, for 2005 6mt only, is how do others deal with this and is this normal? Does it go away over time?
the shudder will go away after your break-in.

i have 2000km on my car now, i dont feel it as much now, but most likely i'm just getting use to it... and every time when i drive up to 4k-5k rpm and press clutch to shift, there is a loud noise. really hate that, may be nissan just dont know how to make clutch...

i get it maybe once a week, doesnt bother me though, maybe cause i dont get it a much as some of you. like chazm said a lot of cars have the same chatter. there are a lot of worst clutch problems then a lil noise. In 3.5 alti 5MT the engagement point would change every time, someimes it would be in the middle or times down low, and every once in a while the pedal would go flat and not come back up. took it to nissan numerous times and they always said my clutch was in perfect condition and there was no problem. So all in all, a lil noise every once i a while doesnt bother me too much.

Same, I have the cluttering noise too... Last week, I got an I-Valuation in the mail and told the dealership point of contact that even though my car is new and I-Valuations are for older cars, I'd still like them to check out my first gear. However, I did notice after a good drive, the cluttering noise disappears... I wonder if that has anything to do with it... I thought maybe it was from people test driving it hard prior to me buying it, so it's good to see that that may not be the reason for the clutter.

Are none of you other 2005 owners experiencing this?

The weird thing is I am not 100% positive it is the clutch. if you rev the engine slowly from idle, you get the same reverberation that matches the clutch shudder...
No, I don't have it.

Just turn the Bose up, problem solved Although some claim that the shudder can be felt rather than heard.. But it has been a known problem which I was aware of when I was buying, if I was really worried about it you'd be looking at a 5AT in my sig.

However, I do hear a weird click 10-15s after I start driving slowly in 1st, don't know what it is but it doesn't sound good.

Finiti... does that click come on only after you start the car? If so, it may the ABS/VDC self-test that you may be hearing.

This shudder/clutter noise can also be heard on the 350Z's

I got my '05 g35 about 2 weeks ago and depedning on how I launch, the noise can be annoying or non existant.

Just make sure that this noise is not eminating from the rear axles... that is due to another problem found on the 2003 and 2004 G35s and 350Zs

http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB05-002.htm

I have not heard it on mine but I only have 500 miles on it.

I am having the squealing problem when I push the car to around 4k and press the clutch in the change gears and I am past breakin.

Is this a serious problem??

Shudder

It seems as there are 2 different problems mentioned now. My original post being one, and the noise made when the clutch pedal is depressed prior to engagement of first gear.

I called the service dept and they said it is likely the throwout bearing and want to take a listen so that they can make sure.

I feel better now heh.

The sound I haven't really noticed, but the shaky feeling is rediculous. I take friends for rides and they all think I don't know how to drive a stick. I have driven sticks for 12 years now, and am pretty pissed that a $40k car doesn't have a clutch/tranny that any smoother.

The moment someone figures out a fix for this problem, PLEASE post it.
I also agree with this. I have been driving manuals for years and years and this car makes me feel like I am learning all over again. I was spoiled by a honda/ acura clutch.
