be thankful for getting 16+ mpg. On a full tank, I get ~260 miles when the light turns on. I usually drive another 30 miles after the light turns on though. SO at BEST, i get 15 mpg and that is when im driving on fumes!

Current gas price for premium: $2.61

(It was 2.71 last wk, so hopefully itll keep going down....if there is a god)

here on the East Coast (NY), the scale goes 89 (regular) then 91 (plus) and 93 (premium)

occasionally some stations (only Sunoco i think) carry 94.

one of the G-Squad guys fills up his tank with premium 93 octane and cuts it with a few gallons of 105 octance race gas

not intended to sound like a wise guy but in ny reg gas is 87. mid grade 89, premium anywhere between 91,92, or 93. sunoco has 91 and 93. some stations only carry 92 for premium. sunoco ultra 94 is not in ny anymore because of the mtbe that was in it. i think about a year ago they banned mtbe in ny.

Let's see I usually average around 300-330 miles per tank. Somewhere around 18-22 mpg usually. I drive a bit aggressively, last night on my way home from a meet I was hitting the triple digits. I've got Injen CAI, Kinetix plenum, UR pullies, JWT flywheel, Topspeed headers, Kinetix High flow Cats, and Stillen dual exhaust. I've done the ECU reset and my mileage is still good. Better than I really expected. And like some of the others have said........, you didn't buy a 35+K sports car for great gas mileage.

Later,

Ray

yup, i think you're right about those numbers. i never got anything lower than premium and the 2 gas stations i go to (Mobil and BP/Amoco) carry 93 as premium, so that's what i get usually.

Just curious....How does the octane difference effect the car? Personally, I try to stick to a grade from beginning to end. I know there is someone in this forum who is in the "Know" about this. Please advise.

I'm still on my first tank that I paid for. (Dealer paid for first one.) You guys are making me nervous about what that first mileage calculation's going to be. I've always been good at squeezing the mileage out of cars. Hopefully this one will be no exception.

Every time I get a new car I find out how far it can go until its out of gas--completely. I just took a gas can with me until it ran out. I got 418 miles to the tank with regular unleaded. The light came on at about 343 so I got another 75 miles after the light. I've only filled up a couple times so far, and I would say it has varied by about 20 miles or so. I drive normal for the most part but I do get aggressive at times.

On my 2005 MT I average 20.13 mpg. This is with 900 miles on it and not fully broken in yet. I usually shift around 4k but sometimes first gets away from me, then its 5k. My last tank of gas I had 330 miles on the odometer and when I filled up it only took 16 gallons.
