8 Months of Modding Finished - PICS
8 Months of Modding Finished - PICS
After 8 months of work, my Mod Bug has decided to rest for a bit. I have slapped together a simple web page full of pictures and recommendations so you guys can check out my coupe. My objective was to tastefully modify the car in a practical manner by integrating all additions to be as OEM as possible.
Please let me know of any thoughts you might have.
I have posted this in the Audio Forum as well.
Thanks!

Very nicee....but one question: Did you depress the E-brake while ur car was in drive!? I hope u dont do that often, im guessing it wears out the rear brakes faster.
What kinda fogs are those?

I am extremely happy with the sound deadening results. There is noticibly less vibration and road-generate noise inside the vehicle. The sub and the 4080 enclosure make a great combination and can hit really hard. With the deadening, the subwoofer no longer makes the trunk vibrate at all. Lastly, my car is RATTLE FREE. Hopefully, it stays that way.
The material weighs about 0.3lb per square foot, and i've applied about 75 square feet of the material from the trunk lid, to the trunk cabin, to teh rear cabin, to the front doors. After the math, that's about 22.5lbs added to the car.
Yes, I did depress the e-brake while taking the pictures. The screen requires the shifter to be in drive for complete clearance. Honestly, my only gripe with the car is that Infiniti made the center console for teh automatic too high. The height of the manual shifter is perfect, but the height of the automatic shifter is almost a foot higher!
The fog lights are manufactured by Hella-Optilux. I they are the projector HID DEX auxilary lamps pictures below. They are INCREDIBLY bright.
Yes, unfortunately the silver on the custom console piece is not a perfect match. I helped select the paint for that piece, but that was as close as we could get. Nevertheless, it's very close, and half the time people who see it don't say anything about it. Of all the dash jobs I've seen, no shop has been able to perfectly match the interior paint, so I haven't gone crazy over it. But if anyone knows of a perfect match paint, definately let me know!
