Anyone else interested in doing this mod?
I think it would be sweet if the dual circular LEDs lit when the headlights were on and the horizontal LEDs came on with braking.

How hard would this be? Cost? someone must have some experience with this.

I'm currently working on this mod. I know another guy here had a prototype picture from a year back. I never heard anything new on that. I also think Clear Corners is working on a taillight mod. I just bought a separate taillight on ebay so I wouldn't ruin mine. Gonna start fiddling with it in June.

 

i suggested contacting www.clearcorners.com to a get pricing. They have done some crazy good looking LED conversions in the past.

 

altezza tail light kits are apparently popular in japan. it might be one of those.

 

At first I thought - Damn that looks awesome, just what we wanted from the beginning. Then after 5 minutes I thought - Wait, that looks identical to a 2005 G35 sedan.

 

I'm also working on the LED mod.
Hope to have it done soon, with a nice DIY on my site.
along with all the parts to do it.

You know guys, when the post about the Top Secret coupe came up with these pictures, I was like DAMN, those taillights are cool. But then on the other hand, the stock shape is not too shabby either, I mean it's very unique with the single circle and the horizontal LED stripes - something that you won't see on any other car...

But that GTR style tail light is cool nonetheless. Depends on how it comes up (David G), I might be in for changing the taillights.

That looks great. What about the side light that normally blinks for the turn signal?

 

I got a tricked out tailight from a place in canada for my sportbike.....these guys make some sick stuff.......maybe this might give you guys some more inspiration.
