In my car, I get a loud reverberation like so:

va va va va oo ooo ooooOOOOMMMM!!!

It is more noticeable at WOT (out of gear of course) and in the lower RPM's.

Is this normal? The sound is loud too and it seems to come from the front left of the engine.
Must be time to trade.

Seriously though, take it to the dealer if you don't think it's right.

Why would you rev your car to WOT? I could understand a blip on the throttle, but wide open?

Revving my 05 just makes music. No problems. I haven't bumped WOT in my driveway though - don't see a reason to.

WOT with no load is not a kind thing to do to any engine. If you had the car in netural with the clutch out you will get a lot of noise just from the trans. If the clutch was in the throwout bearing will make a lot of noise
