THe VDC seems to kick in way to early, does this happen to anyone else? thanks in advance
Congrats on the Coupe bro. As nice as the Z was, you'll like the G more.
The VDC in quick to cut in but can be turned off, but be careful until you get a better feel for the ride.
Enjoy.

yea i know i can always turn the vdc off, but its a little scary when it comes on for no reason and it just gives me awake up call or something. the G is an awesome car tho i love it. Cant wait to put coils on it tho, gonna be my best mod aside from hopefully a turbo kit.

Nice Z! You will love the G35. The VDC does definitely jump in a little earlier than I would like, but if you're an experienced driver you'll be turning VDC off anyway.

im a pretty good driver, atleast i like to think so, but my Z just felt more nimble. i could make a 3 lane maneuver on the highway at triple digit speeds, EASILY. not that i uhh ever did that. maybe a few times at 4 a.m. but with the G im scared to do it. Maybe i need to take it to the canyons and see if it handles better than it feels. i know the suspension is softer on the G, but it cant be THAT much of a difference. best part of taking VDC off...drifting out of driveways and right turns. scares the crap out of your passenger. hehehe

I did the same thing as you. I do miss how the Z handled, and you can definately feel the added weight.

Hehe, I did the opposite. Z felt so much nimbler after the G. I miss the nicer interior. But I was glad to get rid of the backseats, 8 inches of wheelbase and 12 inches of car. If they only made the G in a 2seater version that was smaller... My biggest gripe about the G is how it is almost as big as mid-sized sedans when you compare the two next to each other. You'll love the G though.

Did you ever think of getting a radar detector...its not 100% guaranteed, but it might help?

only one of them was b radar. laser actually. one was a cop sitting at a corner, and just assumed i was speeding, gave both me and my cousin (laguna seca blue M3) tickets for approx speed of 47 in a 35. other was 48 in a 35 by laser, and 3rd one was passing highway patrol at about 120, but he thought it was about 90. i would like a detector if i have anyone willing to give me one hehe

I started out looking at the Z track model, It was bare bones I actually liked that about it but when it came time to make a buying decision... the little woman stepped in. It had to have a back seat. Now that I have the G I wouldn't give the Z a second look if I had to do it all over again. The G kicks A$$, plus all the creature comforts make it allot more enjoyable IMHO. Enjoy your new G. I'm sure, by the looks of your Z you'll be turning heads in it in no time.

oh ya nothing beats the comfort of the car. i like to think i know what im doing when it comes to modding. my family was afraid of my car turning out ricer (Especially my sister who is into cars) and my dad of all people who was 100% against modding, finaly admit after selling the car that I made it look awesome. but the G is going to be a different route. sleeper status. probably get some cheap rims (nothing like Volks or Racing Harts etc. too much $$$) get coils for cheap and then go for the single turbo setup. i wanna have a sleeper for once. nothing is more exciting than killing a cocky guy in a porsche or M3 who looks at your car like a joke....im sure some of you guys know the feeling

If your worried about getting more tickets, why may I ask are you getting a turbo set up. Does that make any sense.
