Lol...wow, do you let your mind wonder too much...Both of the driver's are my friend's, and I was the cameraman...and no the race wasen't "rigged"!! There was actually a bit of shyt talking going on before cause the G driver said he's beaten other S2000's before...the S's response to that was that they didn't know how to drive, and the G driver took offence...sure enough the S2K driver was right...With only I/E, he put like 3-4 car length's on the Stock 04' 6 speed...
And before you jump to conclusion's...both driver's are very good! S2000's just faster. But G35's nicer!

S2000...13.7-13.8
G35...14.4+
Hmm.....now maybe if that was a 350Z...

You mean your G runs 14.4. You should visit the Drag forum. That said...I ran a coupe of S2000s. Don't know what year they were, but I pulled on both. I think its close enough to be a driver's race.

Umm, actually I've never taken my G to the track, seeing that it just is getting broken now...That's what I've read in several different reliable places..
If your (stock) G35 beat an S2000, then the S2000 was driven by a slug! Honestly and no lie! Trust me, I own Both! And they are much different in performance. If you pulled him, then he wasen't a good driver, which is also common in S2K's, so good kill.

And I'll say the same about that G35 driver. I didn't hear him shift (only one chirp) and the passenger was in his car. You'll know what a VQ sounds like at wot very soon. I would expect that from a S2000 with I/H and a stock G35 coupe . They should've stuck the passenger in the S2000 and ran a modded G35. What a joke. I'm not hatin, but basing this on my own personal experience with the S2000.

First off the S200 had I/E...secondly the S200 is faster anyways, just because you beat S200's on the road doesn't mean your car is faster. From what Ive gathered they are hard to get the full potential out of them if you aren't sure what you are doing.
It wasn't an auto because you don't see the gear #s in the center of the speedo and tach.

It's always a drivers race when you go against an s2k. I had an 00 s2k and I know from personal experience that you really have to drive it and know its powerband to get it to go.. If you rolled up to one at 20mph he would have to shift to first just to get a good pull on you.. you can mash the pedal in 2nd in a g and get good power. As far as racing one from a dig I would have to side step the clutch at 5500 rpms to get a good lauch without bogging first, but man that car was fun.. At first when I got my G i was dissapointed by the power to tell you the truth. I'm still breaking it in and yes i have gone over 4k rpms in my G even though its still in the break in period.. ( couldn't resist ) But the Gehas a lot of merits including the luxury aspect. It really is the perfect balance of luxury and peroformance for me. The ride is still firm so I can feel the road, and I have heated seats ,automatic reclining and so on, but its a sacrifice. Quite honestly going from my S2k to the G, the G handles well, but still feels like a pig.. I'm still learning my G, but the S2k felt more reactive and intuitive when you really drove it.. I personally HATE VDC, specially since you have to keep shutting it of the first thing you do when you get in your car... Bottom Line, if you had equal drivers, the S2k is faster in a straight line and in the twisties.. The G is a more practical car for a daily driver, and has great performance to boot.

I agree, both are amazing car's...but yet different at the same time. The fact that the bigger, "nicer" coupe can still hang with the small nimble roadster, say's alot about the G35 and it's performance.

I surprised an S2000 a while back in LA. He pulled next to me all cocky and punched it...then he hit the brakes and line back up with me (30 mph roll)...I screamed over to him, "now let's try it when I'm paying attention!"...he said, "it won't matter, it's still a G"...I yelled, "oh really?!"....then honked three times and blew his doors off. Then I lined back up with him and said, "It's JUST a BLOWN G"... =)

Regardless of the performance of each in comparrison to the other...
...I have been addicted to the S2000's rev-range and exhaust note from Day One!!
I'd have an S2000 in my garage right now if I could convince my wife of a couple of things. You could strap two baby-seats firmly to the top of the trunk, right?
She would really love it... ...especially knowing that the engine note would satisfy my street-bike desires.
