facts.
the G35 start out about 665lbs heavier then the s2000 (3500lbs vs 2835lbs)
and it only rated at 280hp vs 240hp.
now you mod the S2000 (I/H) while G35 still bone stock.
then you put the camera man in the G vs just the driver on S2000.
and if my eyes not that bad,i think the G run with window down.
i don't think it was a fair race.(but what the hell you guy doing up to 140mph on highway?)
FYI
G35 0-60 = 5.5 (car and driver magazine)
S2000 0-60 = 6.2 (car and driver magazine)

I raced an S2000 with my 6MT from a 10 MPH roll. I quickly put a car length on him, and he couldn't catch up at all even up to 90. The S2000 had an intake and a carbon fiber hood, while my 6MT was bone stock.
S2000's aren't that quick - their powerbands are narrow and they really lack torque. An S2000 can be driven quicker than a G35, but definitely not from any kind of roll, and the S2000 driver had better be a perfect driver and willing to sacrifice his clutch to get a good launch (9k RPM).

I have been up against a couple of S2k's and won both times. With one of them we went against each other twice. Each time I pulled right from the start and kept pulling. All I had was a z-tube and I didn't brake-torque. Heck I bet if you drop the clutch in the G from 5K you would be able to get better numbers as well. To get the maximum potential out of the S you have to drop the clutch from 6K plus... crazy and I bet driving it around like that will cause you to have frequent trips to the dealer. The G can be driven to it's potential a lot more safely.

The two 60 mph rolls are a bad spot for the 6mt (extreme top of 2nd extreme bottom of third). The 65 mph roll in third came out better, but then the G35 driver quits while he's ahend and does all the rest of the runs at 60 mph. Who was calling the race, the S2000 driver? I would never start a race at 60 mph in the 6mt.

the whole thing started when an S2000 owner said he raped an auto G.
also, the G driver is good. He has both the G and an S2000. When he drives the S2000, he beat the G also.

It's an 04' G35 Coupe, 6 speed, premium package, with brembo's and all (with the system and spare tire taken out)...vs. an 05' S2000 with I/E, and some coilovers...2 passenger's in the G, 1 in the S. And I/E do almost nothing for the S2000 (maybe 5 HP)
Both driver's are actually very good. The driver of the G35 has beaten EVERY other G35 he has raced (like 5-6, but has yet to race an 05' G) and he also own's an S2000 which he has taken 13.7@101 BONE stock. He hasen't taken the G to the track yet (cause he got it for other reason's), but im sure he would be up there with the best of them. He auto crosses, drag races, and own's a ***. shop down in FL. He's more then qualified to drive. I was the cameraman when all of this went down, and both driver's admitted that hand's down the S2000 is a bit quicker, from almost any MPH...we raced from 10, 20, 30, 40, 45, 60, 65, and even did 1 out the hole...the only time the G lead was from the 10 mph roll when the S2K was out of VTEC, but shortly after he come's screaming back into the lead...both also agreed that they would rather drive the G everyday then the S, but when it come's to pure performance S2000>G35.

Its funny, the same post on S2Ki has the exact opposite reaction.
I own both cars, and in my opinion (haven driven both against the other), the g35 is faster both off the line and up to 100 mph for the "average" driver.
Now if both drivers were equally talented, I think it would be very very close, as it is harder to properly launch the S2K.
No car (stock for stock) will ever "rape" the other
