redundant maybe, sales question
sales question
I have been talking with the local dealer in virginia about getting into a G35 Coupe. Anyway he quoted the MSRP on a 2005 G35 Coupe 5A with premium/sport tuned/ and aero at $37912.00. Obviously I know this number is available on the web but what is the general consensus on what I should be getting this car for on the east coast.
I appreciate any advice you can give.

I'm in Charlotte NC and I am looking to buy a G this month. I have been quoted about 2k under msrp so far. The problem is finding the color/options that I want. I found a dealer in Atlanta that is giving 2k off and waiving their processing/doc prep fee (495).
Good luck finding the right deal.

It's probably going to be hit and miss for you. Check around with some other dealers so you can at least have some barganing power. If they are sticking to the MSRP, I'd angle for $1000 off and see what you get. If they're offering top-dollar for a trade-in, you might leave well enough alone. Your call.
I'm having to order my 6MT. I hade one dealer quote me (without skipping a beat) $1500 off MSRP on all ordered vehicles. I mentioned that offer to another dealer (3 hours from previous dealer) and they gave my $1750 off MSRP for an ordered vehicle. I know, I likely could have gotten a bigger discount, but almost $2000 off MSRP is enough to satisfy me. There's no premium package, Nav. or aero package (just splash guards and trunk mat), so I wouldn't expect much more room to discount from the MSRP of $34,030.

Update
I've been talking to various dealers and I think I've narrowed one down to a reasonable deal.
$500.00 over dealer invoice, plus tax, title and plates. $500.00 deposit is requried to reserve the car in your name.
Decent deal eh?
Any thoughts. This is what he quoted in an email.

Update
I traveled down to Richmond, VA this morning and picked up my coupe.
2005 5a
Black/Wheat
sport tuned
premium
trunk mat
34,500 + tax, title, fees
I feel really comfortable in the car and I don't think I'm going to go with the spoiler. After looking at the car in person there is something about adding it that I think breaks up the lines.
Anyway time for my 6th drive since 1pm
