Don't use the car duster on a black car. It will pick up sand and grit and end up scratchin the paint.
I Love BLK, but HATE the dust and how hot they get in the summer months. How funny though cause I always end up buying it... except this time TB but the same grief
Nah not a dumb question S2020. I bought a car cover from Stillen and i use it at night and when it doesn't rain. The only issue i have with it is there are some streak marks when i pull it off in the morning. I'm not sure what it is
At any rate i still wipe them off with my MF towel. Most of the dust i get is due to my "semi-covered" parking at the office and so dust flies everywhere from landscapers to road construction.
Down_Shift: Exactly! You didn't have to say anthing at all the beauty of a clean black car says it all! So you don't advise on the California Car scratcher huh...That's cool...I'd been adamant about buying one for a while now anyways...By the way, which side skirts do you have?
Thanks for the Input everyone!

You should not cover a car daily also. When you cover a unwashed car, you will be keeping all the grit/dust/sand under the cover. The sand will eventually build up on the cover, making the cover scuff up your car.
What you can do is do a very detailed wash once a month or every 2 months. And when you feel the car isn't up to par for the night out, take it to the touch free wash or do a quick wash yourself with a very mild carwash (dry it accordingly so you don't get streaks)
I did a 4 hour long not so detailed wash on the car (wash/clay/wash/nxt wash/leather/vacuum) yesterday to prep for the meet on Saturday. That way Friday night I will just do a quick hand wash and be ready for the meet. The meet starts at 8am, so I won't have time on Saturday.

Wow that's some time well spent! Thanks for the advice on not covering it daily....i guess i need to take my cover to the wash to get rid of what's on the inside...Thanks again...
so what is the best tool to dust and not scratch?
california duster or one of those swiffer dusters?
i hate this time of the year. pollen and dust are just attracted to my car. before i was even done washing/drying my car yesterday, i had a layer of dust on the opposite end of the car. so frustrating.
