also,

Does the 350z have the same airbox and hood pannel as the G35???
The reason im asking is because i am doing some JDM shopping for cooling parts, and they offer the airbox and hood pannel for the 350z...

The bolt pattern is different, since the Apex'i was not intended for our car. Only way to make it work is to modify the MAF bolt patter to accomidate it.

So how exactly did you mod the MAF Tube? Did you put the Stillen Venturi Ring inside the Apexi filter or get rid of it all together? Also did removing the "power duct" make a difference? I was under the impression that the rubbing liner was an important part in making a seal against the hood. (sorry about all the questions! )
Ben,

While I don't have personal experience with the A'PLEXi air filter I hear it's among the best available. Here are a couple pictures of my hybrid G35 intake system? By the way the JWT and Stillen Air filters are directly interchangeable.

Nice setup

The inside is actually pretty close to Apex'i, except the Apex'i has only a plastic funnel where the JWL seems to have a combo filter+plastic funnel. But hey, who the heck knows if that is any different
