Completely useless. Sometimes roof scoops are engineered to feed cool air to the rear brakes though. this one is probably held on with 3m tape.

 

Car would have looked much better without that nasty front end and the roof scoop...

 

great timing, I just watched Fast and the Furious last night (Im in afghanistan, I'll watch anything to kill time). pretty obviously a photochop with that front end.
