Haha, thank you RBull.

As far as MSD...Like I said, read my posts, look up the references, and educate yourself on the topic. I am not going to spoon feed you information, that is why I provided references to back up my point of view. You provide nothing to support you point of view except for your opinions.

Glad you got a chuckle.
I'm surprised and pleased to see an MD with a passion for healthy BMI. I am a serious marathoner/runner and am a major convert to a healthy lifestyle myself.

You would never have recieved this amount of bull**** responses to a serious question.

What a shame and what a waste.
Oh look, another unhelpful, irrelevant, non contributive post. Cmon man, if you have nothing to add to the original posting don't say anything.

I just had this repaired last week. Their are two possible avenues to take with the seat frame. But regardless, any decent size dealer is doing many of these right now. They may have to order parts and it's so common right now, you might have to wait. I'm not sure if its still backordered, but it took a few days longer than anticipated. Just make sure you get a loaner or tell them you want the car back while you wait for parts. The seat has some sharp parts, make sure you show the service writer the condition of your console, steering wheel, door, kick panels, etc. There's a very high likelihood something will get scratched. I had my kickpanel replaced on their dime. I didnt have to ask though, it was replaced before I got there. They also nicked my steering wheel cover that has to be repaired next week. Luckly, its at the bottom and hard to see.

As far as the leather, alittle searching here and you'll find many people had a run of bad leather on their seats. The dealer shouldnt care, especially if he's already taking the seat out. He may have not been covering them under warranty, but Infiniti is. If it were me, I would just beg them to call ICA and ask for coverage of the leather. I would tell the dealer that I believe he will find it to be a common issue. ICA will know if your car was in that range or batch of covers showing problems.
at least this guy was useful.

thanks tim!

You know, sometimes it takes certain keywords to get the dealer to act. In this case, the seat has "excessive play". Thats what they need to hear. I also showed them I could shake the seat alot, not sitting in it, but just grabbing the headrest and shaking. It actually makes the seat look pretty loose. Much easier than sitting in it and trying to rock or move around. Also, if you drop the seat all the way down and it stops squeaking, or if you can tap the controls to bind it alittle bit and the squeak will stop for awhile, then that is the frame part. I just looked at my ticket from last week.

"Replace Driver Seat Frame Adjuster Assembly"
Parts:
Adjuster Assy Front 87450-AM30A

Good luck and remember to have them record the condition of the car before they start.

It appears to be coming from the setbealt harness that's attached to the seat. Try having the dealer put some lubricant and this should resolve the squeaking. I can't remember if they can possible replace the washer that's on the nut that holds the seatbelt harness. And for those people wondering.....this was the passenger side squeaking w/o a passenger.

Ya it gets a bit chilly here in the winter lol. Thanks for the into.

Hey also thanks to ALL that had something revelant to say also

I never had any problems with the squeeking, however, my left seat bolster had pretty much collapsed and the leather had a 10" crease in it as a result.
I had my car in for service last Nov. and I showed it to my service advisor. He was surprised to see how bad the cushion had collapsed. They agreed to replace the foam cushion, and the leather seat bottom.

My seat to this day is in great shape. I now make a habit of "hopping" over the bolster when I enter and exist the car. So far no creases or any sign of the cushion collapsing either.

I have three things to say, two of them off topic, I'm warning everyone now...

1. Anyone notice if this is a problem with the '05's? Should I start "hopping" over the bolster to enter the car? I would be concerned about the possibility of "nutting" myself on the steering wheel.

2. Johnny, you a fellow "Pegger"? I have also had excellent interactions with Birchwood Infiniti. Even though they have a monopoly on Inifiniti in Manitoba, they know how to treat their customers.

3. quote As far as MSD...Like I said, read my posts, look up the references, and educate yourself on the topic. I am not going to spoon feed you information, that is why I provided references to back up my point of view. You provide nothing to support you point of view except for your opinions.

What's another word for "self-important"? sheesh.
