Pretty soon someone is going to start a Tivoli Spoiler replica group buy thread

He isn't out of his mind if he can make it all back selling the spoiler design or selling spoilers. Breaking even on a piece like this isn't hard with the mod crazies that fill this forum.

Yea it started as 2k, and you know how that goes. First time it shipped it broke, so had to get some re-work done. Basically I just didn't see anything out there that looked good to me. I wanted something a little more aggressive but not crazy. It is meant to be a classy modification of the original. That said, I might revise it a little. Hard to see in these pics but the wings might need to be shortened just a bit.

 

It looks like an OEM piece. LIke a different offering. I think it is awesome. I will be interested in how well the tips hold up under highspeed in high downforce conditions.

 

Hmmm... no no no. The tips go right to a point that follow the lines of the taillights, it is perfect. I'll attach a file that shows what I mean.

 

Funny you say that ashadiow, I revised it previously so that the tips would come out exactly to the point where the taillight slope breaks. I'll try to get a different picture to show you what I mean tomorrow.

If I made copies, they would be as rugged or moreso than OEM. No other way to do it. I certainly want to prevent any situation where a spoiler falls off!!!

 

Also, the angle that the wingtips rise is parallel to the middle sloped edge of the taillights from the back. It was designed that way to flow with the taillight design.

It reminds me of an old friend with big ears. I don't think it flows with the rest of the car and I don't think it is areodynamic.

How is the ride on the highway at high cruising speeds? Is it stable?

Yea it is stable. Just an extension of the OEM, not too drastic a change. I don't see why you wouldn't think it to be aerodynamic?

 

Oh forgot, I got a big laugh out of the "friend with big ears" comment! I guess everyone sees something different.
