04 to 05 6Mt changes & wheel question

Got the hots to get a new G coupe which means selling my exceptional 95 Supra. Have some Racing Hart M5's with new Mich Pilot Sport tires I would like to put on G. Wheels 18x9 front with 39 offset and tires are 245-40-18. Rear offset 44 with 18x10 wheel 275-35-18 tire. Will tire/wheel combo work properly?

Is it true that Brembo brake package no longer comes with 6MT option as it did in 03-04? Sneaky way to increase price, if so? Would like extra 11hp, but need the brakes more. Suppose a good intake/exhaust package could make up the difference?

Thanks Guys (and Gals?) Looking forward to learning as much as I can before purchasing.. Appreciate any help!

Well i can only answer part of your question. Yes, they did take off the Brembos from the 04' & 03' (happy i got my 04'), but dont sweat cause the stock brakes on the 05' are reeeeaaal nice. I didn't like the 19's at all on the 05's when i first saw them (pics), but now i love em' now that I have seen them in person.

I did not realize that the 05's did not have the brembo's any longer until after I purchased one. The new brakes seem capable though. I have not been able to get them hot with my abusive street driving.

I love my 19's though.

yeah those 19's are sweet, but how did you not notice the missing brembos?

Going off '04 specs with Brembos, I'm pretty sure those offsets are too high. I don't think you would be able to clear the brakes.

In addition, calculating the size difference between your setup and a stock 18x8 +30 (225/45/18 F & 245/45/18 R) setup would be as follows:

Percent total diameter difference: 0.96% smaller in front & 4.12% smaller in rear.

That would definitely throw off your speedo and VDC.

If I'm not mistaken, the '05 and '04 has little price difference between the two. If you do decide to get the '05, get I/H/E/C and you should be able to make up for the loss in BHP. While you're at it, get an AFC to get the most out of your mods.
