Someone Broke my Rear View Mirror!!
I stoped at Target to get some stuff we needed and as I was about to leave I found someone had broken my driver side rear view mirror with a ******* shopping cart. Of course there was no one around and no note was left.
The mirror itself didn't break, nor did the painted casing. What did break was the arm that connects the mirror to the car.
I found the service manual online on how to replace the thing and it does not appear to be too difficult.
Anybody know if that part can be bought by itself? or do I need to buy the whole rear view mirror assembly? any ideas on how much?
thanks

FV17, I hate to say it, but the same thing happened to me. I noticed black arm of the mirror was cracked one day and about a week later it fell off and scratched the door. And there was no visable damage to the painted housing of the mirror. I doubt you can buy that one black piece. I'm looking for a used one and if I have any luck, I'll pass on the info to you.

Someone just did this to me last night. They did it maliciously by hand in a parking garage that I paid to park in. I'm immensely pissed right now, and about to go outside to try to remove the dangling mirror(temporarily taped to the A-Pillar), so that it doesn't fall and scratch door after the tape breaks.
