It's hard to remember that FWD is all that a lot of kids know these days.

I was fortunate enough to learn ***-out techniques in a go-cart when I was young, and then in a 280ZX at 16... ...but a '69 El Camino with a really hot Chevy 350 went a looooooong way toward getting me used to precise control with the *** out, wet or dry.

Hanging the rear out is only a shock if it's not something you're used to.

Somethings wrong with you or your car. Even with VDC on, it's hard to keep this car UNDER 120.

When the VDC activates, does the VDC light comes on? My VDC has kicked in in times but no indicators have been lit while this happened, except the Slip light.

It's probably just me but sometimes the car feels faster with VDC on than off...

I may be wrong, but im pretty sure that traction control apply's the rear breaks a little, i posted about a funny smell after driving very agressively for a while, everyone said it was my breaks.

Why turn off VDC in rain, isn't that death wish? I can't shift over like 3k rpms when its wet out, i slip all over!

Always on unless getting on the freeway with great authority. Or when downshifting from 6th to 3rd to pass.

I avoid reaching over to turn VDC off when I have to while driving, so I turn it off as soon as my foot steps on the clutch to start the car. I don't even do it consciously anymore, it's a habit. I happen to shift at ~4k or above every so often and VDC kills all the fun, so it's off all the time unless it's raining.

Vdc

VDC fooled me,
I have noticed abrupt power loss during aggressive launches, cornering, and up or down shifting. The car didn't feel like 300 hp to me. I was wondering if it's me or there's somthing wrong with my car. After reading you huys post, I now first time tried VDC off, feels like added 50hp!

VDC off >= all bolt ons combined!

^^^nope,
VDC= Vehicle Dynamic control, in other words it doesnt let the car loose traction or fishtail, by applying the brakes to the wheel loosing traction or by reducing engine output, also uses the traction control to sense which wheel is slipping
