They obviously don't want to do any warranty work.

The letters that I've seen previously regarding the brake issue are for "model year 2003 and 2004 G35 sedans and automatic transmission coupes."

Here is a recent post about this issue:
http://www.6mt.net/forum/viewtopic.p...er=asc&start=0

So, no it's not for Brembo equipped G coupes.

Yup. Brembos are not covered. That's the price to pay for the golden calipers.

Isn't "Brembo" italian for "expensive squeeky brakes that stop incredibly quickly?"

I have an 03' 6MT w/ Brembos...never been covered...put a fortune into them too since they make me machine the rotors everytime too...as G35doc said above...that's the price you pay for the golden calipers...

I have had nothing but GREAT luck with my Brembos......except for the STUPID amounts of brake dust!

Never squeaked, changed out original pads and rotors at 29K and they still had another 10K atleast left, but I wanted to do cc/slotted rotors and dustless pads, so I just did it anyway.

PS I have also had a fair amount of history as being pretty hard on brakes in general, so I cannot complain one bit about these brakes

Brembos aren't covered because there was never a problem with them. It's not crap at all.

The Brembos are a superior braking system, and there was never any issues with them except dust and squeaking. The standard Infiniti brakes wore tremendously fast, and had inadequate performance.

You might have guessed that I have Brembos and that I luv them.

22K and 2 years on mine and no problems/not even squeaking... Efficient brake pads make brake dust; Brembo is no exception.

The only reason the non-Brembo brakes are warranty is because of all the complains and problems; they were not covered when the G35 was first released in 2003.

I am actually looking forward to replacing the pads and rotors for my Brembos.

I can only imagine what a set of slotted rotors and high performance pads will do to further increase the stopping power of these brakes!

thanks for all the responses everyone...how hard is it to change them myself (buying the brembo pads from everythingg35), i've never done brakes before but have done simple mods....like the z-tube/pop-charger.

The easiest car brakes I have ever worked on! I posted a DIY for pads and rotors a few weeks ago, do a search!
