radio issues

radio issues

what were the symptoms of a failing radio? i noticed a hissing noise when i played a cd. it continued even after i turned the cd off.

I am not sure. But starting last night, not a single CD will work in my car. The CD changer will just keep changing CDs over and over. So now I am stuck with the well hated radio until I can take it to a dealer

Do you have navigation?

Mine does the same, I believe the navigation audio is constantly on standby, regardless if you're using it or not, thus causing the hissing sound you hear.

no nav... the hissing was definitely not there before.
