Quiz Time! (For Graphite Interior Owners)
Without looking at your car or any pictures... what color is your headliner? Now, go check and see if you're right and post what color it is and the year of your vehicle. Thanks!
Man I could have sworn that the graphite interiors had grey or black headliners and pillar covers... I just spent 800 miles in a graphite interior coupe and noticed that the headliner was willow.. I have a willow interior, btw. It just didn't feel right..
my I30 had a black interior and a grey headliner.

The dealer tried to tell me it was because tan was lighter than grey and so it would help the car not absorb as much heat....I said "Whatever!!! It's a cost-cutting measure!" Do they think we're that stupid? That said, it doesn't really bother me, although I would prefer that they match...
In addition to the heat reduction and cost cutting reasons, the other reason is that the lighter colored ceiling gives a less "closed-in" feel and makes the car feel roomier. It's just a design "trick" that they use to make you feel less claustrophobic. The contrast between the willow ceiling and my graphite leather doesn't bother me.

Those who are claustrophobic should just get the willow or stone leather, and then the color will "somewhat" look like it belongs. Still, that said, it isn't a BIG deal to me. It's just that it bugs me when people try to defend Infiniti's cheap measures.
