It's pretty straight-forward and easy. You may or may not need to take off your bumper (I did) but I've read of others not taking theirs off. The most important thing however, is that you get some flex hosing or something similar and wrap your A/C line so the intake doesn't rub a whole in it.

Anyway, took me a couple hours to do mine b/c I had no idea how to take the bumper off, but the actual intake install should only take minutes. Hope this helps, I have pics if you need. Let me know.

I have the AEM CAI, but things should be very similar. It's not a problem at all and is a good first DIY project.

The hardest part is removing the stock air-ram system. There's one or two plastic fasterners inside the front bumper that was a biatch to remove (due to lack of hand space). Once you remove that, the rest should be cake.

Install time was about 1 hour (give or take), and that was at a slow pace. Also, I think the Injen CAI system now come with a metallic heat/dust/water shield, which I do recommend installing. After you have finished the install, the location of the new Injen filter is in direct target to dirt, bugs and worst of all rain/water. The Injen heat shield helps drastically. I wish I had some pics of my install. If I find some I will post.

Read the instructions carefully, and have fun. This was my first DIY and it was easy!

You really don't have to take the front bumper off.. I didn't and my install was easy.
1) Loosen the bolts to the front wheel
2) jack up the front left side
3) remove the front left wheel
4) remove all six of the plastic fasteners inside the wheel well and the three screws under neath the front bumper (left side only)
5) position the plastic wheel well under neath the brake rotor, just so you have ample space to work and you're ready to go with the rest of the install.

I do agree with borahatch, you will need to find some type of heat resistant padding to seperate the CAI from the engine block or A/C piping.

Yeah, I figured there was an easier way to go about installing the intake. For me though, I've gotten my front bumper down to a science. I can take it off in 3 minutes, LOL. Thanks for clearing that up.

I did this install last week or so and it was really easy. Only had a problem with 1 thing and that was removing 1 bolt. Didn't need to remove the wheel, just turned it inward and pulled back the wheel well. Put the intake filter in first then slid the tube down and had my friend push it into the filter while I held it in place. Had some fitment issues with a cuplet but found a solution for it. Overall it took us about 45 mins - 60 mins.

Fairly easy install. If you need more access for the lower extension tube, just take off the wheel, and the wheel well liner. No big deal.
