i dont think in terms of performance a clk amg will defeat a g35...however, craftsmanship and quality surpasses the G.

CTS, especially CTS-V, looks great on paper but I'm not a big Cadillac fan.

Well, if your wife is gonna drive it, might as well go with the clk.

Teach your wife stick. It's not that difficult. Think of all those European women that drive stick. You do stuff that she wants to do, so it's only fair that you get something that YOU want.

I think id go with the CLK. I dont really like the wheels too much, but contrary to everyone else I love the interior. Its a pretty tough decision. If I had to choose between the 2 I think Id get pretty stressed out lol. There really isnt a wrong choice though.

It is a tough choice..

Coming from an E55 owner, the car is unbeliveable. Total luxury, and its ***** to the wall fast, I can step on the pedal and the thing just absolutely takes off effortlessly with the engine barely purring, with the smoothest ride around. Granted, it handles a bit like a boat, but still very well at high speeds.

The G35 is a fantastic car too. I love the way it handles. The one thing I love most about the G35 is the looks. It undeniably looks better than just about anything else on the road 99% of the time, the 1% of the other time being when there is another G on the road, or something like a Porsche, Ferrari, or Lambo or something - Get it in auto. I dont think the G35 6 speed felt right to me. Just wasnt as refined as the 5AT felt to me. Then again, this is coming from experience in a vette and a porsche. The G35 seems like more of a car to get in auto. Maybe thats why Infiniti sells 10:1 autos to manuals.

Clk55 model looks dated compared to new. New version is more refined and looks 100x better. I think a G looks better compared to that model. Now if you were talking new model then mbz all the way.

Are you guys confused? ///AMG. 5.4L V-8, 342HP - 376lb/ft TQ. Hand built motor. 0-60 5.0 qtr mile 13.6. Maybe think about an M3, but good find on the CLK55 AMG. Sweet car.

Performance wise, there is no comparison. CLK55 KILLS G35. If you can afford the maintance costs, why the hell not? Go for it! AMG cars are no joke

yeah dude that CLK is a steal. Handbuilt AMG engines kick ***, you will pay a little more for the maintenance, but really, nothing hits you like an AMG product. This is all opinion but doesn't bother me to give it. AMG products are probably some of the best out there, along with BMW M. Get the AMG, you'll love it. You'll just wish it had the new 5.5 liter engine. 469 HP, need I say more?

HU??? The CLK would eat the G alive .....ive seen it happen when i was riding with my friend with his silver CLK 55 AMG. He slaughtered a G once he got traction from a dig......later on he ran into a Z racing a Vette C5 and he passed them both

all depends on your lifestyle. if you can afford it and definitely love the clk55 go for it. just realize that when you buy a mercedes you have to be able to hang with the maintenance. performance wise it'll kill a G, looks wise i think the g wins hands down. you're right its a tough decision..i'm glad i'm not making it good luck with whatever you choose
