I am concidering volunteering but am unaware of possible pit falls, can anyone advise on any negetive results to alowing the experimentation on the cpu.

What are the dangers of losing my warranty?

Keep in mind I am new to all of this and have a limited knowledge of terms.

If something went wrong...

worst case, you blow up your engine - this is the software that controls timing, advance, spark, fuel flow etc... squirt gas when the cylinder is on an exhaust cycle... well, that's drastic but I suppose wildly possible.

best case, you mess up some engine component, infiniti dealer checks ecu and it shows modifications - warranty on engine bye bye.

Not sure how it works in Infinitiland, but with BMW and Ford, the dealer can tell if code has been changed - even after you restore stock code.

Now with both those marques you got an OBD2 injector box, about the size of a really big remote control. You plug in, push button, wait, unplug - new software loaded. The software knows the vin of the car so you cant buyone and share... and you can always reload stock software (it's copied to the device before flashing).

Now why can't anyone figure this out for a high tech Japanese car? I mean FORD for heaven's sakes!

I am assuming that if Technosquare has the expertise to crack the 6MT's CPU then there should not be to much risk with AT, any thoughts?

I'd also be interested to know. In my previous life as a WRX owner, the Subaru dealers were unable to detect reflashes.

Has anyone taken their car in for any work?

if it needs to be shipped to them for flashing... forget it. Can't afford 3 days without a car. Otherwise, I'm in for a GB.

Hey guys.....I don't know about the 05's but...there is an East coast option!

I'm about to send mine to Altered Atmosphere in MD.

www.alteredatmosphere.com
301-330-8835
Talk to Mike Mahaffey

They use the same program and hardware as TechnoSquare and they are a lot closer to us on the East coast!

We might get a "group Buy" price or at least save on shipping if anyone else is interested.......
