Concerned with Post Accident affects..need opinions/help

Until you get it fixed there no real way to tell how extensive the damage was
and how the effect remain.
...so, if it was my car, I would press my insurance agent to total it, but if not just
get it fixed, drive it around if I can accept the repair... if I can accept, I'll keep it
but if not, just buy another car.
