Air Con heating instead of cooling
Air Con heating instead of cooling
I need your help guys. Just got my car from the DVD and navigation conversion and the a/c is going crazy on me. If I set anything but the lowest temperature it blows heat it my face, and I mean HEAT! For example the outside temp is 25C and if I want anything above 18C inside, heat is blowing out my vents instead of cool air. Has anybody had a similar situation. Could sth go wrong when the dash was being taken apart? The inner temperature sensor?
#1. in-vehicle sensor wire harness loose or disconnected (located inside the panel located under the steering wheel)
More likely....
#2. AC plug harness not reconnected properly.....

u gotta take apart your whole interior!
ok, first go under your steering wheel, u see that tiny little vent on the right, is the tube placed back on that vent?? and is the wire connected? check it!
if it is, then your A/C isnt plugged back on, remove your new headunit and check the A/C harness...

This is the most common problem after DD conversion.
What I have found is to avoid having to disassemble your entire dash to check the AC harness behind the HVAC unit for AC malfunctioning:
1.Check your AC functioning BEFORE you put your HVAC unit back in, diagnose and fix any problems.
2. Push and relocate your AC plug harness from behind the HVAC unit into the space behind the panel that contains the 12V power source on the passenger side. IF you relocate it there, you only have to remove a few panels to check your AC plug and not have to disassemble the entire dash....
