I think this is the funniest.

BUYER MAY PAY THE ENTIRE BID AMOUNT IN CASH OR CERTIFIED FUNDS ONLY. BUYER MAY ASSUME LEASE WITH A $10,000 DOWNPAYMENT MADE IN CASH OR CERTIFIED FUNDS ONLY.

The f'ing idiot put $30K into a leased car

LMAO!! What an excellent observation! lol At least he'll come out smelling like a rose if he get's $50k.

And I'm glad the "Lambo doors" are on their way out. But I guess they'll be around for a while still. This morning, I passed a new Suburban... ...with airbags and spinners. ><

if its a lease that may explain why he's selling the car, the dealer may have voided his warranty and/or forced him into buying the car outright...who knows!!

He was clearly misguided. He says that he bought the car with this goal in mind. I imagine he was suckered into a lease because the lower monthly was attractive and he figured the lease terms didn't mean **** if he sold the car and made a bundle.

If you ever want/expect to get even 75% of the cost of mods back when you sell a car, you only have a couple of options:

1. Decrease the amount for the vehicle way below the market-value and then add in the full cost of your upgrades... ...if the dillusion helps you.

OR

2. Don't put that sort of money into modding anything less than a classic street rod. Those are the only vehicles that will appreciate in value, thus allowing you to get out of them what you put in.

Just mod for yourself and hope that the mods will allow you to sell it for something in the upper range of fair market value. Remember, most buyers look at a modified car as a big lump of questions and uncertainties, which usually devalues the car to the lower spectrum of the market value. You can only hope that someone you know, or someone that knows the car and how well it was treated, will be interested in buying it.

mods dont make the car resale value any better, imo it only decreases the car's value.
the mods were tastefully done.
for all my cars and bikes, I keep the factory items on the side just in case I decide to sell the car or bike. I return them to showroom stock to retain it's value and then sell off the aftermarket parts.
it's just that some people dont want to go that extra step.

If the car is gravity-aided on a 90 degree incline, I don't see why it can't do sub 12 sec quarter mile

I asked him how he could manage to pack 47K into a new G, of course he never answered back.

I met this cat at the Mod Madness show this past weekend too...he seemed very full of himself, and didnt even want to chat about his ride AT ALL! I approached him and said, "wassup man, nice G. What all u got on this thing.." - he acted like i ran over his dog or something...he was all bothered that he had to list ALLLL the parts he had. After he struggled through his gay list of parts, he quickly added that the car was for sale and that he wants something better. i replied, "i already have a G, but thanks man. Good luck with your car".....he didnt even say thanks - he answered his cell and brushed me off like i was some second-class citizen...what a diick.

I hope he gets his 50k for his car - goes and buys an M3 - mods the hellll outta it - sells it, gets a 911 turbo, mods the hellll outta it - then realizes that hes got NO FRIENDS to ride with him in his "keeewl" ride....

I think Boozer put it best - What a douche!!!

PS: My G is for sale for $85,000 - Its got a CF hood and TV's in the headrests...those two mods alone are worth 50k - plus i ran 9 second quarter with one arm tied behind my back...

When I went to the track every week, I rarely see cars like that, because they embarass themselves so badly. Everyone "thinks" there car will run a certain time but reality hits when they get that time slip and they stare in disbelief. Then they go home wondering what happened. I bet this is one of those fellas that has never stepped onto a track, probably never even to seriously watch a test n tune. I even bet he has no idea how Trap plays into roll - ons on the highway and how the 60' time is very very important to the final ET. People like this are pure "ricers", just with some money. They go off claiming this and that.....BS
