I had a quick question, and I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue--

My cd-player stopped working today--i was listening to a cd, then i switched to the radio, and then back to the cd player, and now the changer cant read any of the disks. I have tried almost everything--turning off the power, taking the cd's out, puting different cd's in--no luck. I'm sure it has something to do with the laser, but i guess i have to take it to the dealer, but I wasn't sure if there was maybe something i could do. I have the Bose system btw.

Good luck. I've been waiting 3 weeks for a CD player to get to the dealer to replace mine under warranty. My car is less than 3 months old and the CD player was always finicky. If I'm lucky, it will play every now (and then only slot 1). You'll find a lot of problems with the CD on this board.

 

The EXACT same thing happend to me last Friday. I can't stand the radio..so this is killing me. Hopefully, I'll have a replacement on June 3rd.

 

Is there a conspiracy, or what with this CD player error? Just this past week my CD player also stopped playing, and makes a noise as if it's trying to read a CD but nothing. I called my Infiniti dealer, they ordered a new bose system, and it arrived in 3 days. As (jgainnm) mention this seems to be a common problem, and the dealer is quick to order a new bose, and replace the defected system. Good luck, I definitly miss my CD's.

 

you can try to switch discs on it while holding down eject. Thats how i got mine revived one time.

 

Had the same exact problem. called in infiniti and they ordered me a new head unit. got it replaced after a week. Don't hestitate, just call your local dealer and ask for a replacement

 

This just happend to me this morning!!!!

 

I wish you more luck than me. I waited 3 weeks for a replacement sound system. I just got home from the dealer with my old unit because the new replacement unit didn't work either. They're on the hunt for another one and have promised faster turn around. I don't know where they come from, but the service manager talk me that sound system problems are the single largest warranty problem with the G35 by a large margin. I rarely do any modifications to a car as nice as this one, but I'm seriously considering replacing this Bose system.

 

I had my BOSE headunit replaced Friday at Lokey Infiniti. They replaced the old with the new in about 30 minutes. I was very suprised that it was done so quickly. Now, I have a working CD player again. I also remember hearing the service director talking about how even though they replaced the BOSE headunit, it is a newer version (I guess they fixed the bug that was causing our CD players to stop working).
