Any OBDII scanner will work. All OBDII cars use the same port. They are required to use a standardized set of codes for those that are common with every vehicle. They can have additional codes in case the manufacturer of the car sets up unique functions that can be seen through the ECM.

For most, a very basic model will do the job and can read and clear codes. They are a bit pricey though. I bought mine which only reads and clears codes for $150 I think about 5 years ago. It's made by Actron. Last time I checked Actron sells one for about the same cost, but has more functionality. Not sure if they sell a similar model to mine at a lower cost or not. If you work on your own car a lot, it is hand yo to have. With all the electronics in a car now, it makes it much easier to diagnose issues. You may occassionally trip a code just working on the car as well so it's easier than removing the ECM to clear the code(though I'm not sure if the newer Nissan ECM's are resettable without such a tool.

I bought mine at Sears. I think most auto parts stores carry them. You might be able to find it cheaper over the internet.
