I am getting ready to order an 05 with 6MT/Premium/NAV/Aero and XM. What does the XM option really get me ? Is this part of the standard Bose stereo or is it a dealer added option ? Is it Infiniti or aftermarket ? Anyone with pics ?

it gets you the sat receiver unit which goes in the trunk and the sat antenna. You will still need to pay for the sat radio service.

the sat receiver for our cars is made by clarion. You can buy the receiver and antenna yourself for around $300 i think. It is pretty easy to put in...try a forum search.

You get like 14 free preview channels...(for life).

I like these channels too, every flavor from rap to classical to sports.

Do you operate the XM channel selection through the OEM radio controls or is there a separate keypad ?

I have the factory Sirius Sat radio, does anyone know if there is a way to display the artist and the title of the song playing?

All radios in G35's come preequipped to work with XM. The XM radio option adds a little black antenna and 3 months of free service.

The radio is controlled through your regular radio controls. You just hit the "mode" button and cycle through from CD, FM, XM, etc ...
