exhaust

looking for a great sounding exhaust for the 6mt 02. does anyone know what is a setup that will enhance the current stock sound to be louder. also i dont want to spend toooo much. since i am a noob please tell me why this one you are recommended vs another one. also any links to where it might be found online would be great.

should i get it from the headers back or should i get new headers too. what is the max diam for the piping?

thanks everyone.

welcome to the board. I recommend you check out the exhaust forum, located here:

https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-exhaust-23/

You'll find plenty of threads about which exhaust is loud/quite, expensive/economical, etc etc. personally, if you are trying to do exhaust on a budget, I would recommend replacing the cats first, it is the most restrictive part of the stock exhaust and can be replaced for only a few hundred dollars.

I just went through the same dilema....and i ended up with the Greddy Evo2.

Great fitment, great Looks!!!, killer, deep tone (not much louder than stock, but deep and mean), and "supposedly" good gains. It is a tru-dual like the stillen, and according to the shop that installed it for me, it is noticeably lighter than the stock unit.

Ill post pics soon...

escobar, who makes a 3" inner diameter system? I thought the APS was the largest at 2.5".

Most aftermarket exhaust are 2-2 1/4" piping, suitable for NA and SC kits. APS and HKS True-Dual have the 2.5" piping, perfect for Turbo kits.

it's put togeather. I don't think I will wait forever though!

loudest is def stillen, but some complain about an awfull drone at 2-4k. fuji is slightly louder than stock at 1-4k, and nicely louder and much deeper at 4-7k. i already took some vid of the stock exhaust, once i get my fuji installed i'll post vids of the comparo

Think your measuring the tip as 3" and not the inner pipes. No aftermarket exhaust for G's have 3" piping. My HKS have 4 1/2", thats the tip only.
