Hey all,

I just got my car back after not having it for 3 weeks while it was at the dealership for service (I had a crazy electrical system problem that's a subject for another post). I noticed something about the trim on the dashboard and I can't tell if I'm just confused because I haven't seen my car in 3 weeks, or whether it's actually different than it used to be (they had to replace the instrument cluster, so they may have diassembled/reassembled part of the dash).

OK, so here's what it is...There's a piece of titanium colored plastic trim that runs horizontally across the whole dashboard. It is located just above the air vents, the center storage compartment/spot where the NAV display pops up, and the cubby where the NAV DVD player is stored. I'd swear it used to either not be there, or be black, and the piece there now is titanium colored.

I've searched through the forums and I've found some pictures where it looks like it's there and other's where it doesn't. I'm not sure if there are differences between cars with different option packages, but my car is a 2004 coupe 5AT with graphite interior and the sport package (i.e. titanium trim), and without NAV.

If any of you could check your car and report back to me (or post a picture) it would help me keep my sanity, and I'd appreciate it. Please say what interior color/trim your car has and the color of the strip (if it's there).

yeah its supposed to be titanium!
i had an 04.5 black on black, 5AT with titanium and it had the titanium trims, 2 long pieces on the passenger side

my friends 03.5 has the titanium dash, but his trim piece is black...

 

yup ive always noticed it. its just a little strip in between the upper and lower half of the dash
