Hi all! I fell in love with the G35 after a recent test drive. So much so that I took my wife in the next day to have her give it a spin. Now I must tell you, I have dragged my wife into dealerships to test drive numerous cars including the: Acura TL, BMW 325, Chrysler Crossfire, MB c230 sport sedan, Pontiac GTO, Mustang GT. The nicest thing she ever said about any of them was that the BMW drove "nice". I took her in and we test drove an 05 G35 coupe in Lakeshore Slate/wheat 5AT with premium, sport, full aero, no nav. She said that she really liked the car at least 5 times and commented on its power and refinement as well as its solid feel. When we finished, she said "I think you should get this one, honey." Coming from her, that's a hell of an endorsement.

We plan on buying in August but I am concerned about availability and I suspect I will have to order the car since I want Lakeshore Slate with wheat int, 5AT, sport suspension pkg, full aero pkg, and sunroof. I do not want the premium pkg since I would not likely use most of the additional perks associated with that and I'd rather save the $1500 price difference.

What do you guys think? Do I need to go strike a deal now and get her on order or wait and order an early 06 model to arrive in the fall?

P.S. I will be joining the Florida G35 club as a premier member prior to my purchase. That Lokey deal is smokin hot. I also would love to see what the club and its gatherings are all about.
