I am crying more from looking at the damage to that amazing vehicle more than the death of the passenger...

this story is everywhere. Its definately quite tragic. This sounds kinda morbid.... and you know, nobody wants to die.... but damn, I'd rather go out at 160 in a CGT while dodging a Ferrari (although the marshal seems equally to blame) than getting tagged by a drunk driver on the way to Taco Bell.... or choking on a pretzel. The guy was a total car nut, what a way to go. Since we dont have much control over the freak accidents that take us out, we'd be lucky to go out that way. It's instant and spectular and people who never knew anything about you end up scouring the internet learning about you and your passion for exotic cars.

Tragic about the family and kid, obviously it could be avoided. That aside, wow... I'm not sure anyone shares my perspective. I didnt know him, but if you have friends in motorsports, you'll probably know someone who did know this guy. He's a legend of sorts now. He seems like a guy who would have wanted his life celebrated at his passing. Unfortunately, its a huge loss for many people

Wow...try saying that if it was your friend/family that was involved...real clever.

I saw this on Supraforums as well...some of the people who know of him over there all say he was a great person...RIP.

I definately agree S14roller, Hockeyplay95 wouldn't be say that if it was somebody he knew or close to him... a car can be replaced but a person is lost forever...

Hockeyplay 95 have a lil' respect... that would be one of the dumbest thing you could say... so you have the right to shut your mouth from now on... i would appreciate it... you were just asking for it.

jesus...of course i have sympathy for the guys killed---my only point was that it was painful looking at the car, it wasn't supposed to be funny. Sorry if i offended anyone, that wasn't my intention--really, please dont take it the wrong way, i apologize.

I'm just wondering how could the driver crash into the wall. Were there any thing wrong with the car.
