Just got my new 05 6MT, couple questions

Hey guys,
I have been on the forum for a while, having previously owned a 04 5AT. I jus traded it in for a black/black 6MT. Needless to say, I am so happy with the decision and I love the 6MT. I cleaned the car today, but by the time I got outside with the camera, it was pollen covered again, so I'll get pictures up tomorrow. I have a couple questions though.

(I have searched on these questions, couldnt find any answers)
1. What is the best rpm/way to launch the 6MT off the line? Where should I keep the RPM's and should i dump the clutch, or ease it out?

2. Dealer told me the first oil change is 3,700 miles and then every 3,700 after that. Since break-in is 1,200 miles, I was thinking of doing an oil change at 1,200 before I really test out the performance of the car, and then doing another oil change at 3,700. Do you think I should do two oil changes, or will I be fine with one at 3,700.

Thanks a lot guys, and am excited to move on to the 6MT.

-Mike

after the 1k oil change did you step on it at all, or still wait untill 1,200?

Should be ok at 1k to step on it some, but remember it's not properly broken in for quite some time after that.
I wouldn't "dump" the clutch-- very heavy ware and tear. Ease it out at about 3k.
I'd do the oil at 1 to 1.5k and every 3-4k after that.

G/L with the new ride and congrats.

If you ease it out at 3K the guy next to you is gonna spank that a$$. Learn to feather the clutch, don't "DUMP" it, but come off of it quicker then normal, peeling is ok, as long as you arent peeling through all of first...When the tires grip, GET ON THE GAS...I'm not trying to act like a pro racer, and I'm still practicing launching myself, but that's the idea...BTW, launching the G and racing it is going to put some stress on ur engine, clutch, and tranny, so if you are scared of it, don't do it...
