Think if you had a ghost run, like on some car video games and your car finishes a half a car in front of the stock car, get the picture?

well said, did not think of that

Before you spend the money on a pop charger, I would look at the problems people have had with it in hot climate areas. A large number have removed the pop charger and gone back to stock or moved to the Stillen air box.

The problem in hot climates is that the pop charger air intake is inclined to create a significant lag/bog off of the line due to injestion of hot air from the engine bay, regardless of the heat shield. See the link:

i have Z-Tube and Pop charger and i love it. i have not felt any power loss at all like all the posts you see and i love the sound and the sound kicks in at 3500rpm (noticeable) ive had Gs in my are ask me what i have under the hood cuz noone in my are fixes up Gs. the only cars in my area are in the 80k and above mark with rims and body kit no performance.

I didn't notice any difference with my Z-Tube really either at first. Everyone was making it sound like it was such a big difference. I put it on, and really couldn't notice a difference in sound or performance..

However, it is a bit louder at idle and overall. I compared mine with the Z-tube next to a stock G35 with the G-Tube and his was noticeably a little quieter. I still don't know if this mod was worth the $75, but I cant complain too much. There is a small difference in the tip of the RPM range, which actually IS there, but the problem is, not many of us drive over 5k RPMs in order to notice that difference anyway. Could slightly help when you are racing off the line and are getting right to redline, but other than that not useful, still not a terrible mod for the price.

For those of you who have bought a Z-Tube and K&N drop in, you will notice a fuel economy gain. Depending on your driving styles and traffic patterns, you should see gains of about .7 to 2.3 MPG... assuming you continue to drive the car in the same fashion as you did prior to the Z-Tube/K&N install.

Those with the Nav should be able to easily verify this and support the claim with some minor testing of their own(I tested this myself to get this info for the past 2.5 months).

Before Z-Tube and K&N:
Average combined economy: 22.3-23.5 MPG

After Install of Z-Tube and K&N:
Average combined economy: 24.7-26.1 MPG

I feel the same way since mine's supposed to be delivered today. Starting to think that I should've ordered a CAI but I didn't expect to get great returns from the Z Tube/ K&N in the first place.

There have been some issues with injen as well. Basically the intake on this car in sock form is almost as high flow as they come. The z-tube maximized flow w/o comprimising low end torque. All the others comprimise low end torque from the dynos I've seen

One thing I must say is true, which I did not belive those who said it did at first, is about the gas mileage. I must say, I got 21 MPG at one point, in which I was never able to get with the G-tube. I dont know what it was that made this difference, but the gas mileage for me deffinetly is a little better, and I am very **** about gas mileage and how I do. On average, I used to get 16-18 before, and I am now getting at least 19.5 each time now. Not to mention its now summer, and I am running the air conditioning 85% of the time now!
