My car got screwed..=(
i was driving my car to my girlfriends house early may and my car starts sounding the louder than the harley next to me so i figured something was wrong. I get to my g/f house and there is smoke coming from the engine and i soon realize my a/c compressor went bad and i believe that the ac belt burned. I had the car towed to the dealership and the service manager calls me the next day and tells me that there is no comprossor availible in the country and we would have to wait 3 weeks before i got one. Which was fine, i made clear with him that the car needed to be put in the bay area everynight and he reassured me that it would be done. The thursday before memorial day weekend he calls and says my car is done, WONDERFUL rite? no. I didnt have time to pick it up until monday. So monday morning comes up and i get a phone call in the morning from him, (of course im thinking he is calling cuz they want there loaner back) he proceeds to tell me that he came in this morning and found my car laying on the ground with no wheels and no grill and the side mirror ripped off. I went to the dealership and to my suprise it was on the rotors and bodykit. What would you do?
all dealerhips have insurance. once you hand the keys to the service writer/advisor your car is now under thier liability. If they wanted to keep a good reputatation for thier dealership, they would take care of the problem.

hmmmmm sounds fishy.
it's like someone knew you were going to pick up your car the next day.
something similar happened to a buddy of mine. he had a VW GTI with a vr6. i don't remember exactly what happened but he ended up getting a new engine under warranty. so far so good. the car was at the dealer for weeks. finally it was ready to be picked up. he brings it home... 2 days later it gets STOLEN right out of his underground garage. security cameras caught the dude. he just walked up to the car and unlocked it with his own key and drove it away. 1 day later they found the car with no engine in it.
sounds fishy... i think someone knew exactly which GTI had a brand new engine in it.
anyway... i'm not saying that dealers are shady... but you gotta wonder.
BTW he lives in vancouver and car theft is always higher in a port city.
