spoiler help

Hey guys, the dealership quoted me $850 to install a spoiler on my g or I could just buy one from them for $575. The question I have is whether I have to drill holes in the trunk or does the spoiler have self sticking tape that doesn't require any drilling? And how do you get the spoiler led hooked up the car (drill hole for wire, etc)?

You must drill holes in your trunk. Then run the LED wires thur one of them
Go to a body shop they will give you a better price.

yes you have to drill holes. Lots of them. I think it is something like 8 holes. Big ones too, most are 5/8" or bigger, one is 13/16" I think. I did mine myself, it isn't too bad. If you want to do it yourself you can buy the factory OEM spoiler from everythingg35.com for less than the dealer's $575. Comes with everything that you need including a mounting template that shows you exactly where to drill the holes. Took me 2 hours to mount with two people doing the job. Not hard. If you are at all mechanically inclined you can do it.
Use a hole saw for the holes, not a drill bit.

dude,
don't get it from the dealer. you're just wasting money. get it from ebay, everythingg35.com or any other kit stores. and it's easy to install them yourself.
there's even a group buy for the spoiler in one of the threads. look for it in the NE regional page.
