My question is, will the power and acc of the 6speed G35 coupe match the power and acc of my auto. V8 540? I am going to the infiniti dealer today to look at one. Any comment will be appreciated. Thanks

I went from driving a '98 540 auto. to a G35c auto. and am quite happy with the G35 power and acceleration. I had the same concerns as you do - going from a V8 to V6. If you are getting a G35 manual, it should even be better acceleration. Also consider the facts: most of the the reveiws I have read show these are 14 second cars in quarter mile and I believe the 540 is about the same.
However, in every other respect the G35c and BMW 540 are completey different cars and really an apples and oranges comparison.
Also note that last week there was a thread about this same topic - so look for it!.
