Man Supras have been one of my favorites for a long time. I hate to say it but when Toyota comes out with the new one the G might have to go. Don't know if the spy pics I've been seeing are for real but Toyota isn't going to let the 350Z come back and take all the glory. Does anyone have the pics I'm thinking of?

 

I'm still tripping about that "in his 30's" being "in his elders" comment. I must be ready for social security since I'm in my 40's. It's no big deal but I feel as young as I did 20 years ago. Liking cars is timeless...and ageless. Heck, I still watch cartoons.

BTW, I'm also a Supra fan. Those cars are one of the sweetest ever created and can sit next to a G35 with no shame. Only weakness in the Supra was the bland interiors but it is a sport car....not a luxo cruiser. I hace a Lexus SC300 which shares the 2JZ engine that came in Supras...minus the big power. It can be modded to match though. Supras will live on forever...even past their 30's.

478rwhp is definitely on the high side of things, but I've got a customer that is currently make around 465rwhp with an auto BPU car... On my own supra, adding 100 octane picked up 70rwhp at BPU because it was pulling a lot of timing on pump gas... lots of variables, "BPU" is certainly not an exact spec...

my biggest reason to think he's BS'ing is that after leaving a 478rwhp car, I find it hard to believe that he'd be excited about racing his 260rwhp car...

but who knows, maybe it's all true and we're just being jerks!

 

I don't race my G because a.) I don't race anymore and b.) I think it's slow (relatively speaking, of course). After running cars with the Cobra, I won't get excited running in a car than isn't capable of 11's or lower.

 

We would have all loved to make 480rwhp on normal BPU and certainly not with "minor BPU upgrades". 480rwhp sounds more like what a small single like a 57 turbo would push out or something...not what the stock twins can do.

There's no reason to lie to these guys...the Supra TT gets respect all by itself even if it was stock.

Anyway, glad to see you so happy with the Z28 if you did win/race...I'm sure it was quite a achievement seeing how a 480rwhp Supra should be killing Z06s to Vipers all day long...

Hah, last night I flew by a supra doing about 50 (speed limit) and I saw him catching up to me so I gunned it and before I got a chance to look into my rearview mirror it was safe to say he was lookin into his by then Those things are fastttt
