3rd Breaklight with Spoiler
I ordered my G35C with the full aero kit from the factory and my local dealer said they had it in stock at the port and redirected it to them from another dealer. When it arrived, I noticed it had a 3rd breaklight on it
and that there was a slight scratch where the spoiler is
. The dealer told me that alot of the aero kits are put on at the port. Cars on the dealer's lot that had just the aero kit without the front spolier had no 3rd breaklight. Is there a way to remove the 3rd breaklight all together?

If you try to remove that peice, you will find that you will have a hole in the back where it belongs! Maybe you can try to fabric over it or something, which I was going to plan to do, but I really dont mind it any more at all. Not a big deal.

Easy, the car you bought has the full kit, and that kit is done at the port. For you to get one with the wing and rear diffusers put on without the 3rd light you have to order the R01 and R94 packages (front lip and splash guards installed at the port).
me too!
My car had the same problem. I ordered it with the full aero kit (presumably from the factory) and made it clear to the GM that I didn't want two brakelights. So when the car showed up with the extra light I was quite disturbed. But the dealer did right and took care of the situation and (at no cost to me) fixed the rear deck back to factory specs. There is absolutely no trace of the light, the complete rear shelf was replaced.

I have a theory about this stuff:
1. only the "aero package" is installed at the factory, which only includes the spoiler and muds.
2. if you order the 5-piece, then the port is responsible for installing all the components, along with removing the rear shelf brake light.
I think that sometimes the Port makes a mistake and doesn't fully remove the shelf brake light.
If the above isn't 100%, I still think that some combination of aero options results in this situation.
The real problem is that you can order the aero options so many ways, the real of the G's options are clear and concise, but the combination of aero options are not.

The Aero kit/wo rear spoiler is installed at the port. This is the front lip and splash guards. R94 To order R94, you also have to order R01.
R95 is the Aero Kit w/ rear spoiler. This is the front/rear spoiler and splash guards, and this option is port installed.
So you have 3 options
1. R01 only
2. R01 and R94
3. R95

That's right. The Dealership should and will remove the "Window" 3rd brake light at no charge if you order Spoiler with the car.
Also Infinitium, I'm not feelin' that Dealership badge "Kelly" on the back of your G... jus IMO
Cool. Thanks guys, I'll try contacting the dealer Monday about getting a new deck lid. I'd like to tint the windows and it doesn't look as well when they have to tint around the 3rd breaklight.
Cool... But don't you jus hate when Dealers want to Badge a Georgous G with the Name... I would have flamed them and told them to remove before I even left the dealership.
